let the glass company cut it! If it breaks they replace it!
I’m with Grandma on this one. Either let the glass company cut it, or if you insist on doing the work yourself, use a glass cutting tool, scoring the cut several times. Then, lay a strip of masking tape across the cut before you attempt to snap it.
